I really like the gallery presentation!

I really like the gallery presentation and am so happy to have my original paintings as well as giclee prints represented and on display.

We made it to the gallery in Canon Beach, Oregon. The owner was so lovely and her gallery really has a beautiful selection of original art.

Buffalo Facing The Storm,IMG_6424 2 copy

As the story goes, when a storm is coming a cow will see it and will run from the storm, therefore having the storm chase it. However a buffalo will face the storm, taking it head on, therefore moving through the storm more quickly. That is what my client told me as he asked me to paint this custom painting. I really enjoyed this process of creation. I had been to Yellowstone Park the previous year and had such a visceral memory of the mighty buffalo. They are so amazing and beautiful to see in person. I am happy to say that my client loves his painting! It truly represents his life and facing the challenges that come his way. A metaphor we can all relate to.

About Janet

Janet Ferraro " My guiding light as an artist is expressing the power, movement and sensitive nature of horses and other animals. So many of us know the beauty and love shared by us and the animals. It is an emotional kinship. I find great joy in creating a painting where the life and soul can be seen and felt not just by me, but the viewer as well. In creating a piece I often combine engaging expressions in my subjects that evoke emotional curiosity along with dynamic energy, life and spirit circling within the composition. My paintings are first felt in my heart and are complete when the spirit of the piece arouse a feeling of intimate communication. My mission is to accurately portray the equine form, combined with color, inspired originality, infused with living essence. I will continue to paint in oil with expressive brushwork, inspired by the vibrant animals that dance through my mind."
